We have three different product lines with different challenges associated. Our first traditionalproduct is developed as a stand-alone application, using a monolithic solution. That solution isused by 8 different Telco customer, such as Vodafone, Comcast, Sprint, AT&T among others.
Our second line is our first attempt to develop a Saas solution, directly used by new customers with a straightforward online approach with minimum effort on custom new developments.Production environment and time to release are two challenges here.
Our third line is a micro-service migration from our first traditional product. This new model will be adopted by two customers and it brings plenty of new challenges inherited from thisarchitecture solution.

Required skills:
- Mastering Java language and virtual machine. Tunning and profiling
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines. Definition and building
- Containerisation with docker/Kubernetes
- Configuration/release management. Puppet/ansible/cheff
- Infrastructure and deployment provisioning knowledge
- ELK/Splank
Scope of work:
- Being the link between development, QA and infra team, being able to provide valuable inputregarding nonfunctional testing, development pipelines and deployment
- Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure
- Docker local environments
- QA environment deployment processes, including containers and scripts
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Create, maintain and evolve CI and CD pipelines for all our different products, from pull requests to deployment and releasing
- Monitoring pipelines behaviour, defining solutions, detecting improvements andimplementing them
- Developing non-functional tests when required, defining/aligning kpis, choosing toolsand plugins, being able to analyze results and understanding code, when possible, thatis causing misalignments. Mentoring others to implement NF tests
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- To evolve and maintain FOSS processes, integrating them into the pipelines
