About Project

Imperva, a leader in application & cybersecurity data is looking to hire an experienced infrastructure & Linux software engineer.

As a part of the R&D Infra Team, you will develop the platform's configuration and control layers, primarily relating to the kernel, OS, and virtualization infrastructure such as VMWare, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and more.

Most of the development is done in Python, incorporating new technologies from the DevOps world. You will research, develop, and integrate Linux capabilities into Imperva’s products, including HA, rollback/snapshots, performance improvements, packaging and automatic deployment, and security hardening.

Current technology stack

Required skills:

Extensive experience (3+ years) in Python or other dynamic programming language
Good understanding of Linux internals: deployment, packaging distribution methods, LVM, security, performance, kernel customization
Bash programming skills
At least 2 years' experience in Linux or Linux-oriented DevOps

It will be a plus:

Experience with Red Hat-based systems
Knowledge in virtualization & Cloud systems (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud)
Experience with Cloud native environments such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of network administration and programming (TCP/IP)
BSc in computer science or equivalent
