About the Project

ALLSTARSIT is looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join our client Papaya (Gaming), an ambitious startup building a gamified social platform that combines competition, content, and community.

As the second developer on the team, you’ll have a rare opportunity to directly shape the product, influence technical decisions, and take ownership of critical backend components.

What you’ll be working on:

Designing and building the core backend platform
Supporting social network features and in-app economy
Enhancing the recommender system and video processing tools
Tackling real-time performance and scalability challenges

Required skills:

4+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with .NET Core (open to candidates with experience in other languages and a fast learning curve).
Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, etc.
Solid background in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases, and experience in database design and optimization.
Experience in debugging, logging, and monitoring microservices-based systems.
Passion for working in a startup environment and embracing new technologies.
Ability to work across multiple areas including backend, infrastructure, and advanced features (e.g., recommender systems, video processing).

Scope of work:

Design and build scalable backend systems using .NET Core and AWS.
Work across a variety of domains: backend services, cloud architecture, infrastructure, and the recommender system.
Develop microservices and manage the entire lifecycle from development to production.
Implement and maintain DevOps best practices using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust monitoring and debugging of services, both locally and remotely.
Continuously experiment with new technologies and tools to improve system performance and scalability.
Solve complex problems with a focus on high availability, reliability, and maintainability.

Experience with social platforms, gaming systems, or B2C products.
Background in recommendation algorithms.
