Must Have

  • Academic projects related to AI, robotics, autonomous systems, or simulation.

Scope of work:

  • Create driving scenarios in the autonomous driving simulator.
  • Build real-world traffic situations before they are tested on actual vehicles.
  • Learn from the road-testing team which situations are problematic and recreate them in simulation.
  • Create and modify maps based on real-world environments.
  • Build and maintain simulator versions.
  • Ensure simulator builds are accessible to all relevant teams.
  • Work with graphical tools to create simulation environments (not graphic design, but technical scene creation).
  • Run nightly simulation/testing processes.
  • Trigger existing automated pipelines (not develop them).
  • Verify that overnight executions completed successfully.
  • Analyze failed executions and investigate root causes.
  • Determine whether failures originate from the simulation scenario, the simulator itself, or the vehicle/software code.
  • Collect information and communicate findings to the appropriate engineering teams.
  • Work closely with development team, integration engineers, road testing team, and other engineering groups.
  • Drive communication and coordinate issue resolution across teams.
