About the Project

We are looking for a skilled Manual QA Engineer with strong backend experience to join our quality assurance efforts on a complex, high-scale video platform. We run an innovative over-the-top TV platform as a service on AWS, serving telecommunication and media companies worldwide. Required skills:

Must Have

3–5 years of experience in manual QA
Hands-on experience testing REST APIs (Postman, curl, or similar)
Ability to read and analyze server logs, DB queries, and backend responses
Experience testing in cloud-based / distributed system environments
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect lifecycle management
Familiarity with SQL — querying databases to validate data integrity and trace issues
Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail

Nice to Have

Experience with video streaming platforms or media tech
Familiarity with AWS services (CloudWatch, S3, etc.)
Exposure to performance or load testing concepts
Basic scripting ability (Python, Bash) for test support tasks
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and understanding release flows

Scope of work:

Work as part of the production and delivery team in an agile environment
Design, execute and maintain manual test plans and test cases for backend services and APIs
Be responsible for identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through their full lifecycle
Collaborate closely with R&D, DevOps, and Product to ensure release quality and stability
Perform regression, integration, and exploratory testing across microservices and data flows
Support production investigations and contribute to root cause analysis
