About the Project
MedBAR.ai built the flight simulator for clinical reasoning. Medicine never documented its most important layer. The knowledge is in the textbooks, but the reasoning (what to ask, what to order, what to rule out, when to act) was never captured at the scale needed to learn from it. So it has always passed from expert to student one case at a time: at the bedside during residency, and today, in much the same way, in the training of frontier models. That is the layer we build for. What began as research at the Technion and Rambam is now a live commercial product with leading medical faculties, a national examination body, top U.S. healthcare networks and the leading AI systems. The same platform trains and evaluates students, residents and experts, and evaluates the top AI systems and foundation models before and after they go live. We are a small team built for talent density: scientists who have shipped before, clinicians who know the decisions made at the bedside, and senior healthcare executives from the U.S. and Israel.

Must Have
- Team player and collaborator. No ego. You enjoy building together and make the people around you better.
- Problem solver who likes the fun of it: the interaction, the debugging, the building.
- 5+ years of hands-on Data Science experience, including significant experience in HealthTech or Digital Health.
- Experience building LLM-based products, including context management, tool integration, safety guardrails, and handling nondeterministic behavior.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare challenges.
- Proven ability to independently turn ambiguous problems into rigorous experiments and practical product solutions.
- Strong programming and analytical skills, with experience working with complex datasets.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a collaborative approach across clinical, product, and engineering teams.
- BSc in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Ownership, initiative, and comfort working in a fast-moving startup, and you enjoy it.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI evaluation, benchmarking, scoring, or QA pipelines.
- Background in clinical decision support, EHR data, or healthcare outcomes.
- Experience in statistical modeling or reinforcement learning.
- Experience working with clinical testing or QA teams.
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
Scope of work:
- Partner with clinicians, customers, product, and engineering to turn complex healthcare problems into testable scientific questions.
- Analyze real-world clinical data and AI system behavior to uncover patterns, failure modes, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop LLM and generative AI applications for clinical reasoning and healthcare.
- Build evaluation frameworks, metrics, and benchmarks to measure clinical and AI performance.
- Own projects from exploration through production, ensuring data quality, reproducibility, and reliability.
