About the Project

  • SATEC is a 39-year-old company developing and selling energy measurement and analysis systems including meters, Power quality analyzers and fault analyzers for industrial/commercial customers.
  • We are looking for an experienced PCB Layout Designer to join our R&D team and lead PCB design activities for advanced energy measurement and control systems.
  • This role involves close collaboration with hardware engineers throughout the entire development cycle, from schematic design through mass production, reporting directly to the Hardware Group Manager.

Required skills:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in PCB layout design.
  • Strong proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB Designer.
  • Experience working with OrCAD Capture.
  • Experience designing multilayer PCBs.
  • Good understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI).
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience working with PCB manufacturers and assembly vendors.
  • Experience with EMC/EMI standards and compliance.
  • Experience designing mixed-signal boards (Digital + Analog).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Systems-thinking approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Scope of work:

  • Design and edit complex printed circuit boards (PCB Layout) with 2–10+ layers using Cadence Allegro PCB Designer.
  • Work with schematics in OrCAD Capture and accurately implement them into PCB layouts.
  • Define and maintain PCB design rules according to electrical, EMC/EMI, and Signal Integrity requirements.
  • Route high-speed signals, analog and digital circuits, communication interfaces, and related systems.
  • Design boards with multiple voltage domains (low/medium voltage), including proper isolation and separation requirements.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team to ensure enclosure and mechanical fit.
  • Prepare manufacturing documentation and files, including Gerber files, Drill files, Stackup documentation, and Pick & Place files.
  • Support production and manufacturing processes.
  • Work with the Priority ERP system to build and maintain component libraries and databases.
