About the Project
Muvan.AI is the first pure AI copilot purpose-built for asset and real estate management teams. It delivers deep portfolio insights through contextual daily analytics, automated reporting, and on-demand interactive dashboards - helping organizations make smarter decisions and operate more efficiently.
We are looking for a Senior Backend/AI Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in building and scaling our data analytics application for the property management industry. This is a high-impact role, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, and is passionate about creating robust, scalable backend solutions. You will work on microservices architecture, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive projects from conception to completion. We are seeking someone with strong backend development expertise, a high level of independence, and a sense of ownership over their work. You will play a critical role in the success of our product, working on a solution that has real impact on the property management industry.

Required skills:
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Strong skills in Backend Development (Python or other programming languages)
- Experience building and optimizing RAG-based retrieval systems with relational DB
- Experience working with AI libraries and/or 3rd parties like chatGPT, Claude, Gemini etc.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a startup environment
Scope of work:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
- Build and scale microservices-based architectures for our data-driven applications.
- Take full ownership of projects from development through deployment and beyond, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, data engineers, and product teams to deliver features that improve the customer experience.
- Optimize and manage data storage, particularly with PostgreSQL, to ensure smooth and efficient data processing and retrieval.
- Integrate with and leverage AWS cloud services for infrastructure, including scaling, monitoring, and deployment.
- Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of backend systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, always looking for ways to improve code quality and team efficiency.
