About the Project
The R&D Manager is responsible for leading Beaconcure’s multidisciplinary engineering teams, including Software Development, Data Engineering, and Data Science. This role ensures effective execution of the R&D roadmap, maintains clear team priorities, and supports predictable delivery.
The ideal candidate has strong experience managing engineering or R&D teams, understands modern development processes, and can partner closely with Product to ensure alignment with business objectives. Deep technical expertise is not required, but a solid grasp of R&D workflows is essential.

Scope of work:
Team Leadership
- Manage day-to-day activities of the Software, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams
- Ensure clear priorities, balanced workload distribution, and strong delivery focus
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and support for professional development
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and a positive team culture
Delivery & Roadmap Execution
- Oversee planning and execution of R&D initiatives in alignment with the product roadmap
- Track progress against timelines, identify risks early, and drive issue resolution
- Ensure teams deliver high-quality outputs that meet functional and non-functional requirements
- Provide structured status updates and visibility to the CTO and senior leadership
Process & Operational Excellence
- Implement and maintain effective R&D processes, including sprint planning, prioritization, and reviews
- Drive continuous improvement in development workflows, testing practices, and release management
- Work with QA, DevOps, and Product to support end-to-end delivery
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary point of contact between R&D and Product for planning, prioritization, and execution
- Participate in roadmap discussions and help translate product goals into actionable engineering work
- Coordinate with Customer Success, Data Operations, and other teams to support customer outcomes
