About the Project

  • Join our team as a Software Test Engineer and be part of the software development group, building sophisticated Cardiac mapping and ablation systems.
  • In this role, you will significantly impact our products' quality within Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) Division. You will participate in medical device development by testing software embedded in diagnostic and interventional cardiology systems. You will test the system's user interface, data management, communication, and algorithms.

Required skills:

  • B.Sc. / B.A. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related engineering degree
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing
  • Strong integration and system-level testing capabilities
  • Knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Strong technical skill set, including spreadsheets, word processing, PowerPoint and specialized applications
  • High level of English proficiency (written and verbal)
  • Basic knowledge of script execution
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong learning skills
  • Ability to understand complex systems and workflows
  • High attention to detail and a quality-oriented mindset
  • Experienced in the medical devices industry or other highly regulated environments
  • Basic knowledge of Python scripting
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools or frameworks
  • Experience in a laboratory environment
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification
  • Strong documentation skills

Scope of work:

  • Plan, design, write, review, and execute manual test cases based on system requirements and specifications in a lab/simulator environment
  • Participate in requirements reviews, hazard analysis, and design reviews for new features
  • Perform integration and end-to-end testing in multidisciplinary environments
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies using a structured defect management process
  • Collaborate closely locally and globally with SW development, system engineering, and product teams
  • Support integration activities and validate system functionality across multiple interfaces
  • Maintain detailed and organized test documentation and reports
