Required skills:
- Self-motivated engineer with in depth experience of multiple voice platforms, especially Teams voice, both with operator connect and direct routing. Experience of Cisco Call Manager also valuable.
- Troubleshooting and management of Microsoft Teams Voice architecture, including advanced configurations, ideally with voice / phone systems. Troubleshooting will require good understanding of firewall rules, voice gateways (Cisco SBC). telecommunications links, connectivity, monitoring, reporting.
- Able to manage migrations of phone systems, work with telecommunications companies, telephone number ports, number blocking, understanding of emergency services requirements. without issue.
- General expertise in Microsoft Teams platform and able to troubleshoot more general Teams access issues.
- Understanding of Teams shared device accounts and conditional access policies.
- Proficient understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and other Windows core services.
- Experience of on premise or cloud fax solution such as Rightfax.
- Working knowledge of powershell administration in Teams.
Scope of work:
- Responsible for managing the technical aspects for the Teams voice design, configuration and migration within the larger project team, whilst also maintaining, where necessary other voice platforms.
- Design with security in mind from the outset and ongoing remain accountability security and quality of cloud solutions.
- Interface directly with the end users, project team and 3rd party to provide support. Participation in walk-through and demos of services.
- Analytical approach to solve complex problems in a complex, large-scale, and multi data-center environments.
- Solution validation testing including troubleshooting and resolution of issues.
- Diagnosis of incidents during the migration, problems and change implementation to include the writing of Change Requests and seeking the required approvals.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex problems.
- Ensure monitoring is in place and co-ordinate results from various parties, network, telephony, firewalls etc.
- Undertake knowledge transfer to support teams (1st line, 2nd line)
- Act as an escalation point of the operations team and provide on call support when needed
- Provide project management for Teams/Voice initiatives that are not assigned a dedicated project management resource.
- Provide status reports to the Collaborations Architecture Manager & Voice Supervisor as required
- Perform other relevant functions and tasks as assigned by the Collaborations Architecture Manager
- Travel as necessary to initiatives and incidents across the enterprise.
