Required skills:
- 3-5+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role (e.g., Solution Consultant, Pre-Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, Implementation Specialist, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with modern BI and analytics platforms (Sisense preferred; Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar acceptable).
- Proven success leading or contributing to complex BI, cloud, or data platform implementations, from discovery through delivery.
- Strong data modeling expertise within a BI context, including dimensional modeling and working with large, complex datasets.
- SQL proficiency: understands join types, normalization - has the ability to join data across disparate sources, optimize queries, and design efficient analytical models.
- Experience designing and delivering customized technical presentations and product demonstrations for audiences ranging from hands-on practitioners to executive stakeholders.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value, adapting communication style to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
- Solid technical foundation, including experience with:
- JavaScript, HTML/CSS (nice to have; strong preference for hands-on exposure)
- REST APIs and platform integrations
- Linux-based environments and containerized architectures (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience providing guidance on authentication and security, including implementing or supporting SSO solutions (SAML 2.0, OIDC, JWT).
- Detailed understanding of analytics embedding, including hands-on implementation using iFrames and related integration patterns.
- Working knowledge of ETL methodologies, data pipelines, and upstream data preparation concepts.
- Nice to have: prior experience with technical project management or leading workstreams across cross-functional teams.
Scope of work:
As a Solution Consultant on the Field Engineering team, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to strategic customers, guiding them through complex analytics and data initiatives to achieve measurable business outcomes. You will lead technical discovery, design best-practice solution architectures, and partner closely with customers and internal teams to ensure successful, scalable deployments across cloud-native and embedded environments.
You’ll operate at the intersection of customer success, product innovation, and business impact. This role gives you direct influence over high-value implementations, the opportunity to shape product direction through customer insights, and the chance to work on cutting-edge AI-embedded analytics projects with global enterprises. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams while driving real value for customers and contributing to our growth.
- Partner directly with customers to accelerate analytics initiatives, recommend scalable architectures, and align technical solutions with long-term business goals.
- Lead deep technical discovery sessions to understand customer data maturity, use cases, and operational constraints.
- Own the technical customer relationship as a trusted advisor, guiding solution design across cloud-native, embedded, and secure analytics environments.
- Design, review, and optimize data models, queries, and analytical workflows to support performant, scalable solutions.
- Deliver onboarding sessions, solution walkthroughs, and enablement workshops tailored to customers with intermediate to advanced data and analytics maturity.
- Create and deliver customized technical presentations and demonstrations for audiences ranging from hands-on practitioners to executive stakeholders.
- Provide guidance on authentication, security, and access control concepts, including SSO patterns and user-level data access strategies.
- Consult on embedding analytics into applications, including session handling and integration best practices.
- Support solution reviews, migrations, upgrades, and architectural optimizations across customer environments.
- Assist customers with platform administration and configuration tasks, including API automation and environment setup.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, product, and support teams to surface customer feedback, identify issues, and influence future enhancements.
- Capture and share best practices, reference architectures, and technical assets to scale knowledge across customers and internal teams.
- Evangelize Sisense best practices through workshops, community engagement, and technical thought leadership.
